Why it is difficult to climb a greased pole?

For a greased pile, the coefficient of friction is very less. So due to less friction, would not get a proper grip and thus it would be difficult to climb.

Grease makes the surface smooth that os it reduced the irregularities in the surface which decreases the friction and hence it is difficult to climb as u can slip easily
