why it is difficult to remove chlorine as nucleophilic from benzene rather than alkyl halide

not only chloro benzene but all arylhalides are less reactive than alkyl halide. one lone pair of electron is present in the benzene ring to form resonance, thus making it less reactive towards nucleophilic reaction.
