Because the Mass of train is more than that of the car, when they are moving at the same speed the force required to stop the train is much more than compared to that of the car as car is was smaller(shorter ) then a train and a car consists one one part which is easy to stop if needed, however a train is very long so as the front would stop the back would still be going at the same velocity and it would cope with sudden stop which could cause the parts of the train to ,,conflict,, with each other because of a way to fast and sudden change which didn't let the back of the train stop and probably in a very unlucky situation it could even fly off the tracks
