because the pressure exerted by our feet is enough to let the ground go inside if we have very broad feet,it would be easier for us to walk on marshy land. Remember pressure is inversely proportional to area.

the answer is because of less surface area. pressure is indirectly proportional to the area on which the force is applied. so when we walk on a marshy land, due to less surface area the pressure apllied increases and it becomes difficult for us to walk.
