BECAUSE PRESSURE IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO AREA SO WHEN WE CUT IT WITH SMALL SURFACE AREA IT REQUIRES LESS PRESSURE AND IS EASY CUT BUT IN CASE OF BLUNT THE AREA INCREASES..........AND REQURIES MORE PRESSURE AND IS CUT DIFFICULTLY................

Pressure is inversely proportional to area. Sharp knife has a small area of contact than the blunt knife. Thus, a force will exert more pressure while using a sharp knife than while using a blunt knife.
