why it is easier to pull the object having some mass than push

When you push there is one component of force that adds to the weight of the body and hence there is more friction. When you pull the vertical component of force is against the weight of body and hence there is less overall friction. So it is easy to pull than push an object.

When you pull an object smaller than you, a part of it acts upward and reduces the weight of the object. But if you push, the vertical component of your force increases the weight and makes it tough.This decreases the frictional force. That is why it is easier to pull than push.
