Because virus are like normal human body cells, they don't have cell. So it is difficult to identify and kill them.

Making of antiviral medicines is difficult than making anti bacterial drugs because viruses are non living entity that have few biochemical mechanisms of their own and they enter our cells to use our cellular machinery for their life processes which can harm
