Segregation of waste is important for properly disposing of the huge amount of garbage in an environmentally conscious manner.

We segregate our biodegradable and non biodegradable wastes so that all biodegradable can be used as fertilizers while the non biodegradable can be recycle to make different creative products and for energy saving.

The effects of biodegradable waste are:

1). Stagnent biodegradable wastes expels out foul smell which is very harmful to environment.

2). These wastes also emits some greenhouse gases such as methane, carbon doixide etc. It is also emits solid such as ammonia.

3). The compostcan be used to help plants grow to make more boidegradable materials.

The harmful effects of Nonbiodegradable wastes are:

1). The pollute water and harms the aquatic life.

2). Nonbiodegradable substance like radioactive wastes, lead accumulate in environment and cause deseases in humans and other living beings.

3). Substance like plastic, etc enter into food chain and harm the organism.
