Why it is not advisable to stand near a running train??

If you stand close to a moving train, you could be fatally injured from something hanging off the train. I have seen videos of fast passenger trains kicking ballast (rocks) ten feet in the air. Once, while riding Amtrak, I noticed the head end crew of a freight train looking over our train (a railroad safety requirement) from at at least 25 feet away. I’m sure that distance was from experience.
On the division I worked on, a signal maintainer sitting in his truck, probably doing paperwork, was killed when a shifted load hit his truck parked near the track.
Fast moving trains create a suction (low pressure area), and you can get sucked into the train. It’s a similar principle to what enables wings to lift an airplane, and humans weigh a lot less than an airplane. In the Midnight Rider movie film crew trespassing incident, one crew member was sucked into the train on a bridge and mutilated beyond recognition.
