Why it is not possible to make use of solar cells to meet our needs? State 3 reasons

it is not possible to make the use of solar cell to meet our needs because:-

1)  the installing cost is very high because of the use of silicon in it

2) it produce DC and needs to be converted by the help of inverters to operate any AC device

3) the energy conservation is really low and not that helpful

1-  High cost and  low efficiency.

2- Silicon which is used for making solar cells is abundant in nature but availability of special grade silicon for making solar cells is limited.

3- Silver which is used for interconnection of cells to make panels is very expensive.
