Why it is said that sexual reproduction promotes diversity of offsprings?

it is due to exchange of chromatin fiber from both male and female gametes, during fertilization that leads to diversity of characters in the offsprings and this is guided by the laws of genetics

sexual reproduction promotes diversity of offspring as during sexual reproduction a lot of variation is produced with the help of DNA and some variations help to survive in adverse environmental conditions
