It is said that vernacular names create confusion because Every place has different langauge and in every language words differ which causes problem and confusion in recognising anything like if I say about apple, in hinsi we use seb whereas in mararthi it is saparchand both are very different and can confuse one.

Hope It'll help ^_^

It is said that vernacular names create confusion in case of plants. Every region has its own name for a plant and Thus it sometimes can create confusion.

Using scientific names can eradicate that confusion as it is constant everywhere.

But scientific names are not known to everyone and therefore indentification of a plant becomes impossible for commoners.
