Why it is suggested that we don't add water to concentrated acid ??

_________________

When a concentrated acid is added to water for preparing dilute acid then the heat evolved gradually absorbed by the large amount of water present in apparatus.

On the other hand ,if however we add water to concentrated acid for its dilution ,a large amount of heat evolved at once .This heat changes some of water to steam explosively which can splash the acid on our face or can burn clothes and caused acid burns .
