why IUPAC name is different ???? As formula is same.

the property of an element to exist in two or more physical forms having more or less similar chemical properties but different physical properties is called allotropy......
same molecular formula but different properties are called has isomerism.......
so...IUPAC depends on structure and formula.... if structure is different then even formula changes...

If the structure is different formula will change.

If compound has different Similar structure but same molecular formula they are said to be isomers.

So coming to IUPAC it depends on structure.

If structure is different IUPAC name will change surely.
