This decision was taken today by Shri. Amit Shah in the parliament today. This was done to combat the growing corruption and terrorism in Kashmir effectively as it is directly under the Indian constitution now. But, there could be riots regarding this in the future. The removal of article 370 has just added fuel to the blazing fire in Kashmir.
