Java is object oriented Programming language because we use classes and objects to implement the program of Java and without class and object it is impossible to write Java program. Java is impure object oriented Programming language because it support primitive datatypes such as int, float, boolean and so on. So, Java programming language is not totally pure object oriented Programming language.
