why jewelary made of 24 caret gold is not preforced

as we know gold is a soft metal so if we use 24 caret i.e. pure gold in making jewelry then jewelry will be very soft

as we know the gold is metal. in most jewellaries we don't find pure gold ,there is a reason behind it , pure gold i.e, 24 caret gold is so soft that it can be broken by our hands too ,so it is not preferred to make jewellaries.
