Kerala is surrounded by water bodies i.e. Arabian sea on west.So when monsoons blows they bring rainfall from the Arabian sea and strikes on the western ghats. This results in frequent and long rain in Kerala.

karthikeya0kk: but i thought that it receives rainfall from both south west monsoons as well as north east monsoons and thus it experiences longest rainy season
karthikeya0kk: is it correct
keerthika1998lekha: yeah both monsoons
keerthika1998lekha: now its ok?
karthikeya0kk: double ok
karthikeya0kk: thnx
keerthika1998lekha: wlcm
