why kerosene stoves and bunsen burners have small holes in them?(Hint; think about the role of air

so that air can come into the stove

The holes provide a passage for oxygen for the complete and non smokey burning of fuel. As without oxygen the fuel will not burn and the burners will fail to be lighted up
