Mahatma Gandhi in 1917, led the peasants in Kheda district, Gujarat in their struggle against the British. The peasants suffered from crop failure and plague in that region. ... Thus under Mahatma Gandhi, they held a Satyagraha to protest against this unjust revenue policy of the British.
