because chromium deposit not only provide a shiny appearance but also helps to avoid corrosion and effects of wear and tear and scratches.

Chromium not only provide shiny appearance bt also helps to avoid corrosion and effects of wear and tear and scratches..Some coatings have to increase the strength of the base metal
