Why Knowledge is not transferred from parents to offspring?
Answers
Thanks for this question.
So let's begin with the basics of Heredity.
The organisms which reproduce sexually transfer their genetic information to their offsprings .
Ofcourse the offsprings receive half of the DNA from father and the remaining from their mother.
And the DNA contains every genetic characters which will be expressed in the individual.
But the main point to understand is that the genes which are getting transferred to the progeny are the inherent genes i.e. the genes which are present in the person since birth.
So why doesn't knowledge get transferred?
This is because knowledge is something which is acquired by the person during his lifetime and not since birth so it does not get imprinted in his genome and hence not transferred .
Hope this helped!
