why krishna didn't protect Abhimanayu

krishni did only what he should,so did not protect Abhimanayu

abhimanayu was not in the storyline krishin wanted

Because Arjuna only know how to break and enter into that bihuchakra, and come out of Bihuchakra. Abhimanyu was unable to know as Arjuna have said it halfly when Abhimanyu was in the womb of Uttara.
