Answer: THE SHADOW ZONE IS  THE AREA OF THE EARTH FROM ANGULAR DISTANCE OF 104 DEGREE TO 140 DEGREE FORM A GIVEN EARTHQUAKE THAT DOESN'T RECEIVE ANY DIRECT P WAVES . THE SHADOW ZONE RESULTS FROM THE S-WAVES BEING STOPPED ENTIRELY BY THE LIQUID CORE AND P WAVES BEING BENT BY THE LIQUID CORE .
