why lanthanides and actinides are kept below periodic table?? why can't it be placed in its actual position? suppose if there will be any other changes in perodictable what would it be? ​

modern periodic table has been set according to the similarity in in elements such as atomic size electronic configuration,etc....

Explanation:

elements are arranged as per their electronic configuration in columns and as per orbit no in rows...for eg.hydrogen has only 1 electron hence it is in first column

if lathanides and actinide series are added in main periodic table it will disturb the table
