Mendel's first law LAW OF SEGREGATION is universally applicable so, it is also called the law of purity of gametes
LAW OF SEGREGATION: every individual possess a pair of alleles for any particular trait and that each parent passes a randomly selected copy of only one of these to its offspring.
here, both parents contribute equally to the factors of the offspring
when two alleles of a pair are different then definitely one will be dominant and the other will be recessive the alleles don't mix and the recessive trait reappears in the next generation.
in the world, there is no contrary experimental model showing that alleles mix in the hybrids
so, Mendel's LAW OF SEGREGATION is universally accepted and applicable

REASONS :

1. There are no theories against it .

2. There are no contradictory experiments against it.

3. It was verified by experiments .

Law of segregation

Law of segregation states that " During the formation of gametes . the alleles for each gene segregate from each other or separate from each other such that each gamete gets only one allele ."

Concept :

Suppose imagine this cross :

Dominant Brown eye BB is crossing with recessive blue eye bb

Note here that :

The formation of gametes will occur by taking only one allele from BB and another allele from bb

Their probability is 1/2

Here the alleles will be B and b particularly because there is no other choice.

From BB only one allele will be B itself and from bb the allele will also be b itself.
