Question
Why lithium has a lower ionic condensation then sodium .
_________________________
What is ionic condensation :
We can term ionic condition as electrical conductivity due to the motion of ionic charge . We can say that transit of ions of positive or negative charge from one site to another point.
___________________________
Lithium has lower ionic condensation then sodium
- Because the ions of lithium are more soluble then of sodium, because lithium has 3 electrons and sodium has 11 electrons the attraction between the lithium molecules are are more compared to sodium because sodium need more energy to attract its all 11 electrons.
- Smaller ions have greater charge density and can be solvated by more water molecules.
