Lichcchavi Period was the Golden Age because of the art and architecture, culture and language, and the socio-political structure the Lichchhavi kings brought. Most certainly, it was the “Golden Period” for the Sanskrit language and Arya traditions. The Lichchhavis certainly believed that they introduced “civilization”.
