why light doesn't need any medium to travel or propogate??

We know that light doesn't need amedium through which to travelbecause the speed of light is experimentally constant: independent of the movement of the source or detector or the direction in which ittravels. Light contrasts with sound, which travels through the air (or some other material medium).

Because the speed of light is constant it is not affect by medium or direction
