why light from different distance or celestial body reaches the earth but we cannot hear any sound from outer space

LIGHT... it travels on the matter or atoms in the space but sound travel on moving atoms and there is no moving atom in the space that's the reason why sound doest come on the earth. in simple words it travels on the atom which vibrate of move such as air where as light can even travel on the atom which are not vibrating or moving.

because sound travels through the vibration of atoms and molecules in a medium such as air or water . In space where there is no air , sound has no way to travel
