Why light is a invisible energy ?

light is visible , but human eye and is responsible for the sense of sight wavelength from 400 NM to 700 NM called visible light. other wavelengths we cant see like UV(ultraviolet) and IR(infrared) range of wavelengths. but some birds(eagle) can see UV light also.
