As my friend, we know light is made up of electro magnetic waves caleed photons and carry no mass, ie its massless.
that's why it has an incredible speed of 9*10 raised to power 9.
moreover
light is not the only thing that moves that fast.
any particle without mass moves through the vacuum at the “speed of light”
Light travels quickly on a human scale, but at the scale of the galaxy? 100,000 years to get across it. The universe? 10s of billions of years. Maybe our scale is just really small.
