why lime is spread in acidic soil? help me plz

Lime is calcium hydroxide which is a base. On adding it to soil it will reduce the soil's acidity . If this is not done, then plants cannot grow on the soil because of its acidity.

Some plants require a basic environment for their growth and excess amount of manure and fertilizer can make it acidic..
To make it alkaline back again lime is spread in the acidic soil as it is basic in nature
