If the force is less than the friction, the friction there is called static friction and if the force is equal to the friction, the friction there is called limiting friction or maximum friction.

the force here is greater than the kinetic friction cause the body is already moving due to the applied force.

Answer:

kinetic friction is an opposing force that comes into place when the force applied on a body is causing the body to move.

Note: the force here is greater than the kinetic friction cause the body is already moving due to the applied force.

Meanwhile static friction is the opposing force that comes into place when the force applied on a body is not causing the body to move.

Note: The force in this case is either equal to the friction or less than the friction. If the force is less than the friction, the friction there is called static friction and if the force is equal to the friction, the friction there is called limiting friction or maximum friction.
