Why liquids do not have definite shape although they have definite volume?

Liquids have definite volume, due to this, they like gas do. Gas completely occupy the container because gas doesn't have definite volume. Liquids can't expand, so they take the shape of the container.

➡️There molecular arrangement are different from solids. So they have a definite volume and not a definite volume.. There molecules are not as closely packed..
