Answer: according to fahjen's rule, ionic compounds are favoured in compounds having large size cations and small sized anion.

As atomic size increases down the group , lithium which is comparatively small forms covalent compounds and down the group the covalent nature of the compounds decreases and ionic nature increases as atomic size increases

So LiH is covalent and CsH will be ionic in nature.
