Why lithium reacts with water less vigorously than others on electrode potential?

Now, why lithium, despite of it's most exothermic interaction with water fails to make most vigorous reaction with it is because, lithium have highest melting point―in it's group―so when dropped in water, most of the heat liberated in reaction with water is utilized to melt the lithium metal, and and reaction occurs .
