Because all the major reactions like glycogenesis, glyconeolysis, glucogenesis, ornithin cycle, which are important for our existance are performed in liver, moreover it performs lipolysis, secrets bile juice, etc. Hence, it is called chemical factory

the liver is called chemical factory performing over 500 chemical function in our bodies. Our liver let's go to these chemicals and nutrients when our body needs them. they flow into our blood stream
