The Rajya sabha does not have the power to pass bills and every bill requires the approval of the lok sabha and not the rajya sabha.

Any ordinary law needs to be passed by both the houses but in case of conflict, view of Lok Sabha prevails because it has large number of members.

Once the Lok Sabha passes the budget or any other money related law, Rajya Sabha cannot reject it.

The Rajya Sabha can delay it for a maximum of 14 days or suggest changes in it which may or may not be accepted by the Lok Sabha.

The Lok sabha is more powerful as the members are directly elected by the people, whereas in the case of the Rajya the members are elected indirectly(nominated).

Most importantly, the Lok Sabha controls the Council of Ministers. According to Article 75(3) of the indian constitituion, the council of ministers are collectively responsible to the lok sabha and not to the rajya sabha.

If the majority of the Lok Sabha members say that they have no confidence in the Council of Ministers, then all the ministers including the Prime Minister have to resign.
