why looking at the sun directly cause blindness

Because the amount of light which comes in contact with our eyes is more which our pupil can't bear. Thus, looking at the sun directly cause blindness.

due to the sunlight power when the sunlight and our eyes are in contact with each other suddenly we were close our eyes due to power of sun's light
