Why lord shiva apply the ashes in his body

Plz give the original story as it is very important now.

I know this is not an educational based question but i need. I searched in google also i did get the answer so please answer guys if u know plz answer fast....

Ash is the primary wear of lord Shiva as his body is entirely covered with it. Ash is also a part of clothing of saints. Aghori’s, sadhus and sanyasi’s put ashes on their bodies.

It is so because the ashes of dead bodies are pure and he is the lord of all ghosts too..he apply ashes to make pure himself from such devotee.
