why magnesium and calcium floa when then react with water?

they float because of the hydrogen bubbles that stick to Thier surface

Mg and Ca float on water because Ca and Mg both are not as much reactive to provide heat which catches fire so the H2 forms bubble which sticks to Ca and Mg and starts float on water
