The magnetic compass does not work in the laboratory because of the different magnetic field present

Explanation:

  • the magnetic field which is present in the laboratory is more than the magnetic field which is produced by the earth.
  • As a result of this the magnetic compass does not exist freely in the North side direction as normal. however when we move out of the laboratory there is lesser amount of magnetic field due to the different equipment and hence we can experience the magnetic field of the earth.
