Being captured and raped by enemies was unconscionable to Rajput women. When the womens heard that their armies have lost, Rani padmini took this drastic step and all the Rajputanis with their childrens jumped into the fire after being defeated, so that after the victory of Allaudin khilji, there would be no Royal women left for him and his army to enslave.
