Hi
Gandhi ji went to kheda district of Gujarat in 1917.
As, the peasants of the district have to pay high taxes to the Britishers even though there crop was failed but they were facing many hardships to pay the taxes.
So Gandhi ji decided to launch Satyagraha in support of the peasants.

Answer:
in 1917, Mahatma Gandhi organised a satyagraha to support the peasants of the Kheda district of Gujarat. Affected by crop failure and a plague epidemic, the peasants of Kheda could not pay the revenue, and were demanding that revenue collection be relaxed.
Thank you!
