Why male child is preferred in India?

because male are strong and male go for job and In olden day male only go for job and female has no right in olden days . but now bot have similar rights but there are some people who think that girl child should not be born in the house but it is wrong. l what to ask a question to the people who do not want girl child :You like your mom,sister,wife but why you font like girl child.
