Why Mangalore gets more rainfall than Bangalore ?

Answer:

Mangalore lies in the western side of Western ghats which receives rainfall from the south west monsoon or Arabian sea branch where as Bangalore lies in Eastern side of Western ghat which is rain shadow region and the Western ghats present the monsoon wind from blow to Bangalore.
