Manure is better than fertiliser. Manure is derived naturally and adds a lot more than just nutrients to the soil. They increase the activity of the microbes in the soil and increase its fertility.

Manures are organic mater, where as fertilizers are made of chemicals .By chemical application to soil, soil may loses its fertility ,water holding capacity, strength. So manures are preferred farm yard manure is used mostly.
