plants developed some devices to discourage selfpollination beacuse of the following reasons:
-immunity for the diseases will be decreased.
-vigour and vitality of the race decreases with prolonged self pollination
SOME OF THE OUT BREEDING DEVICES
1)Self sterility: due to presence of sterile genes (like S1,S3 in pistil and S1 or S3 in pollen grains) Pollen grains of a flower will not germinate on the pistil of the same flower.
2)Dicliny: only unisexual fowers are produced in this case.
