Marriage in todays world has attained a great standard . But people are still lagging behind with false beliefs like child marraige , dowry etc . These trends are decreasing standard . Thus marriage must be redefined.

Marriage is a beautiful bond and union between two souls. In earlier days marriage was not consented. As a girl child was seen as a burden in society, she was not given the chance of education. Hence they were married off at very young age.
Child marriage is against the law and has been made illegal nowadays.
Dowry is another act in marriage which was prevalent in society where the groom takes heavy materialistic things like gold, car, money from bride's family.

Marriage should always be consented, and done after both the bride and groom are independent financially.
So mainly for these reasons marriage should be redefined and reformed as in rural areas these are still prevalent.
